Although the SCC process can be used to make a wide range of particle sizes, CalciTech have initially developed products with a mean particle size of 0.9 microns. These are available with different purity specifications and product forms.

In addition, CalciTech's "solution" carbonation reaction is much faster and more controllable than normal precipitation, allowing for manipulation of particle size and shape not possible with existing commercial processes.
Using this novel process, CalciTech has developed a range of SCC products all with high brightness, narrow particle size distribution and a unique particle morphology comprising of individual crystallites bound together in a rice grain shaped particle.
